Map & claims

The player-facing map and claim system: explore the world in a browser, mark out land visually, and keep your boundaries visible in-game.

The browser map shows rendered terrain, dimensions, shared waypoints, and authenticated claim overlays.

Create your map account

Join the Minecraft server.
Your browser-map account is securely tied to your Minecraft UUID, so registration starts in-game.
Run /register.
Minecraft sends you a private clickable registration link. The link expires after ten minutes and can only be used once.
Open the link.
The browser map asks you to choose a username and password. Usernames must be 3–24 letters, numbers, or underscores; passwords must be at least ten characters.
Create the account.
Confirm your password and select Create account. You are signed in automatically and can now see map information linked to your player.

Signing in later

Open the map’s Tools drawer and use Map login. If you forget your password, choose Recover account while your Minecraft player is online; the server privately sends you a ten-minute reset link.

How claiming works

Take the claim tool.
Use /claims tool. The tool starts a temporary selection rather than immediately creating land protection.
Choose the first corner.
Click one corner of the area you want to protect.
Choose the second corner.
Click the opposite corner. The client previews the proposed rectangle using glowstone corners and gold boundary markers.
Adjust if needed.
Click either selected corner to enter adjustment mode, then click its new position.
Confirm from inside.
Click anywhere inside the preview area to create the claim. The temporary markers disappear once the claim is confirmed.

Seeing claims

Your browser map and Xaero map use the same viewer-safe claim information. You can see your own claims, claims shared with you, and public claims; private claim details are not sent to players who should not see them.

Useful map habits

Use the browser map to find towns, railways, factories, harbours, and other community landmarks.
Use the map’s claim list to jump directly to a named region.
Keep the map open while planning a route or checking whether an area is already claimed.
